I could go off on an endless rant about how much I love Amy and why she's the best Unit ever, but I'll just give you guys a little backstory as to how I got her!

(I went off on a tangent, please skip to TL;DR if you're not interested in my lame love story ahahahaha)

So I started the game shortly after Lorand's batch was released, and during that time, I was simply playing like a typical rookie, but I found enjoyment in reading the Unit's backstories after I found the Unit Guide, thus sparking off the desire to collect more Units because I love to read stuff. I got around to look up upcoming Units from Japan, but back then, I didn't understand any Japanese, though I saw a certain group that caught my eye. It was a batch of all-female Units that was coming to Global next, and when I looked at their designs, I was kind of interested.

Aside from Aisha (cleavage window is a big no-no for practical armour.) and Rickel (A cowgirl baring her midriff? What a big target.), all of them looked pretty okay to me, with Amy catching my eye the most. I mean, sure, Sefia looks like a Final Fantasy character while Kikuri's wearing a nice kimono and those scythe wings are cool, and the two little girls, Il and Mina, looked interesting as a Unit, I just happened to love the full armour Amy's wearing. I don't even like Electric types to begin with, Earth or Dark was more of my thing, but somehow Amy felt like she was going to be a second exception after Heidt. (I detest Light types, but Heidt changed that.)

Anyway, a few days later, Aisha's batch came to Global, and the Brave Frontier Facebook page had a thing where players voted for which Unit of the batch they liked best for a chance to get that Unit if they won. I didn't quite get the mechanics, so when I checked the number of Likes each Unit got, Sefia was well in the lead, Kikuri close behind, and Amy was in last place. I don't know what I was thinking, but anyway, I voted for Amy out of pity for being the underdog and thought of nothing further than that.

A couple days later, I decided to blow another five gems at the Rare Summon gate just for the heck of it. As I tapped on the gold door, it cracked and broke into red. I was amazed. The last Summon was Heidt, and remember that I thought he was amazing because I got him in his 4*? I was amazed at my luck. Two 4*s in a row! I must be really lucky. I excitedly hit the door...

And out came the Bolt Knight Amy. The Unit I had picked as my possible fave from her batch. Well, meeting her just sealed the deal, I thought she was amazing as well.
(Think I learned my lesson in the metagame? Nope, Chucktesta. I can beat hard content with unorthodox teams, just try me.)

When it came to evolutions, I did put my starter, Lance, first, but Amy was always sure to be second because for some reason, I just liked her that much. When her 6* was coming to Global, I quickly got everything ready (I wasn't as prepared back then and didn't really hoard evolution materials like I did for Heidt and Falma), but was a bit bummed when I saw that my Summoner level didn't grant me enough cost to keep her on the team. So I went off to power-level for a bit just so I could evolve her without any more trouble. Maybe I wasn't willing enough to waste all my time on level-spamming, though, so I settled for switching some Units in my main team around and evolved her anyway. (Fun fact: This was back when 1 Energy still took 10 minutes to recover!)

Let's face it, I was too excited to see her 6* quotes and backstory. And to keep using her on my team, of course. That 25% Attack and Defense boost sounded too good to be true! However, when I evolved her, having already gone and spoiled myself with her backstory on the BF Wiki, I knew what her evolution quote meant and I almost cried. I'm no softie, and only two video game endings have ever made me cry, but now I can get hit in the feels for a mobile game?! Gee, I'm a sap.

Did I mention that I have her maxed out in my game? 


TL;DR My favourite Units are Summoned by a series of strange coincidences. Also, drawing lightning is fun. And no, I will not draw those blades on her back.
